Re: 1933-2008
I have been a fan of Andy Ihnatko since reading his columns on the back page of MacWorld magazine almost 15 years ago. I was overjoyed when I found him blogging a few years back. I also love to see good writers write about the life in death of a close family member.
Having parents who are approaching 80 I know it won't be long enough before I will be speaking of their life in death. My dad had a quadruple bypass last winter which was a scare for us, but he's doing well now and with the new plumbing, he could live another 20 years which I don't think he factored into his retirement life-expectancy.
I'm thankful to Andy for sharing his Mom with the us and being willing to let go of those words and let us use them to understand our own mortality.
