Ninja Warrior

Okay, so maybe Twitter is good for something. Andy Ihnatko tweeted about watching Ninja Warrior "The Thinking Man's Heroes." We don't get the G4 channel, but thanks to the Internet, you can sample it at any time:

It's sort of a cross between the American Gladiator series, MXCE (Most Extreme Challenge Elimination) and pick one the the current reality challenge shows.

Re: The Rise and Fall of Twitter

Since starting to use Twitter a couple weeks ago, I have been frustrated by a couple issues. When I reply to a particular Tweet, my reply points to the most recent tweet from that user and every once in a while, it just eats my latest tweet. Well sweet justice, or maybe sweet camaraderie is here and just look at who I agree with:

Re: 1933-2008

I have been a fan of Andy Ihnatko since reading his columns on the back page of MacWorld magazine almost 15 years ago. I was overjoyed when I found him blogging a few years back. I also love to see good writers write about the life in death of a close family member.

Get Fuzzy

I don't think I'm hip enough to get a lot of the Get Fuzzy story lines, but Friday and today's strips had me in stitches:
Get Fuzzy
Get Fuzzy

Progress

Walking from my bus to work this morning I overheard a couple construction workers discussing their project:

  • CW1: As long as it's not too crooked. You know what I mean.
  • CW2: Well, how crooked is crooked?

I think most of the fun of overhearing this was that I had no idea what wasn't supposed to be crooked.

Faith in Process

My friend Keith needed help with his sermon (I highly doubt this premise) for Sunday and opened the doors to hacks like me to offer their ideas about people in the Bible who were "in process." I tried adding my comment to his blog, but was soundly denied by Live.com's feeble attempt at a blog engine, so I posted my response here.

Let's get this show on the road!

After many years and realizing when I laughed at the "Shoemaker's children always go barefoot" jokes, I was laughing at myself, I finally converted the stalwart sphericalcow.net site to one of these snazzy blogging type sites that are a little easier to maintain.
